Diversity Statement
In 2017, California State University, Fresno and Sanger Unified started a residency program. Credential candidates are actively recruited to match our population, especially students that have gone through Sanger Unified school system. STaR (Sanger Teacher and Residency) flyers are displayed in the local newspaper, on Fresno State Campus, school district newspaper, college and district websites, and social media. All CSUF students that meet requirements are accepted into the residency program. Sanger Unified is fully committed to increasing the racial, ethnic, and linguistic diversity of the district’s teacher workforce to ensure our educators reflect the communities we serve.
